However you found us, Welcome! We truly appreciate your visit and look forward to crossing paths in the near future.
The Cohousing Research Network (CRN) has a new online home on this website and is now under the fiscal sponsorship of the Research Institute for Community-led Housing (RICLH). Since 2010, CRN has been dedicated to advancing cohousing research, supporting the work of the Cohousing Association of the U.S. (Coho/US), the Foundation for Intentional Community (FIC), and strengthening a growing network of professionals, academics, forming communities—and possibly people like you.
RICLH’s overarching mission is to foster the growth of community-led housing. As nonprofit partners, RICLH and CRN are working together through collaboration to strengthen the cohousing movement and the broader ecosystem of community-led housing. Our shared efforts aim to empower communities to create and sustain their own housing solutions.
Our new web space is under construction and will continue to evolve. In the coming weeks, you’ll find highlights of our current initiatives, information about our team, a communities directory featuring uniquely visualized data—not available elsewhere to our knowledge—a comprehensive bibliography, upcoming events, a newsletter signup, and more. We’ll also share recommended books, articles, and other resources we encourage you to explore. Whether you’re deeply engaged in cohousing research or just curious, we’re glad you’re here and invite you to learn more.
If you’d like to contribute or have ideas for content that could support the community-led housing movement (including cohousing), we’d love to hear from you! Whether you’re interested in donating, sharing a resource, or joining a project, please email us at info@riclh.org. We value your input and welcome your ideas.
